At the time, Quebec was sorely lacking in professional theaters, prompting a generation—led by Cégep Lionel-Groux and the Théâtre d’Aujourd’hui—to create its own art. It was there, and during summer tours across the province alongside Claude-André, that the young Patrick Bergé got his hands dirty.
