Québecor Rotatif Amphitheater

Cité de l’Énergie is a flourishing interpretation centre located in Shawinigan, Canada. The tourist attraction required an upscale evening entertainment venue to entice visitors to stay overnight. In 1999, Cité de l’Énergie hired Scéno Plus to conduct a feasibility study on creating a show in a 912-seat outdoor amphitheatre. Scéno Plus, in collaboration with Polyscènes Productions, went on to design a unique rotating amphitheatre, as well as all the technical infrastructures and theatrical equipment systems required for the show.

The creative team took full advantage of the unique features of the location, with the action moving from the river to the plain, from the forest to the huge observation tower.
